Annuities
Fixed and fixed index annuities are long-term contracts issued by insurance companies and designed for retirement. They are not bank deposits and are not FDIC insured. Guarantees, including lifetime income and principal protection, are subject to the claims-paying ability of the issuing insurer. Surrender charges apply during the surrender period; withdrawals in excess of free-withdrawal amounts may incur charges, and withdrawals of earnings before age 59½ may be subject to a 10% federal tax penalty. Index annuities do not directly participate in any stock or equity investment; caps, spreads and participation rates limit credited interest. Riders may carry additional fees.
Life insurance
Life insurance policies are subject to underwriting and may require health questions or a medical examination. Accelerated and chronic-illness benefits reduce the death benefit and may be subject to eligibility requirements, fees and taxation.
Social Security education
Social Security education is provided through the Council of Financial Educators (COFE), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. The Sunshine Financial Partners and its representatives are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of the Social Security Administration or any government agency. Benefit determinations are made solely by the SSA.
